Elaine Petreman, Branch Coordinator for the Canadian Diabetes Association had this to say about our Event Medical Services
"In October 2014 we held our first Zombie Walk in Peterborough and the Samaritan First Response & Rescue team came to help out. Mike (Chief Michael Edgerton) also attended some of our planning meetings which was a big help and made the plans for the day in advance so we all knew what to expect. They brought along their little tent which was nice to have since we had a lot of rain during our event. The team was there early and stayed to the very end. During the event they assisted the group of zombies to cross the streets. The walkie talkies they brought came in handy along the route. We didn’t have any medical problems but the team read up on what to do for someone who has a low blood sugar so they would know what to do. It was a nice peace of mind knowing they were there to handle any problems that may arise. They had some great suggestions to prevent problems and helped us to plan in advance. When we have our Zombie Walk again next year we will be sure to have them back. It’s really nice to have a group like this in Peterborough . They provide a great service."
Thank you Elaine for your feedback, we were glade to help you!
